I wanted to implement the B92 protocol on IBM Qx. Implementing the protocol would require that a particular qubit should not be measured when using a particular base i.e. there should be no output at all in certain conditions(when a photon is polarised at 45 and the base used is along -45).

So far it seems to me that such a protocol which would essentially require a photon(qubit) to be absorbed completely and not give a result can not be implemented on IBM Qx as it uses transmon qubits and not photons. Is there any way we can implement this using specific gates ?

I'm very new to this so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
