Assuming that you are just getting set up on qiskit, I'll walk you through the basic setup to get your Jupyter Notebooks up and running accurately.

  1. Make sure you have each of the following downloaded and installed; Git, Anaconda Python
  2. Open your anaconda Prompt, type and run each of the following
  • pip install qiskit
  • pip install git+https://github.com/qiskit-community/qiskit-textbook.git#subdirectory=qiskit-textbook-src
  • pip install pylatexenc

These three 'pip's' should install the programming library locally, the textbook package for use of widgets and pyletexenc to incorperate latex markdown and coding.

  1. Once you have all of these opened and installed on your local device you should be able to open Jupyter through your anaconda navigator and create the file you were attempting to build and have it run successfully.
